Does anyone like vodka? Or has anyone heard of a company called Hammer + Sickle? Okay, well Hammer + Sickle is a premium vodka brand that is entering into other luxury markets – cigars. The boxes that the cigars are shipped in are glass.

Arturo Fuente Rosado Sun Grown Cigars
The Fuente’s are world renowned for creating and producing finest cigars in the world, and the Sun Grown Rosado version of the well-known favorite, Arturo Fuente Rosado Gran Reserva is no exception. A extremely limited production cigar only available once a year is crafted with the Fuentes classic blend of the finest, aged Dominican filler tobaccos, and finished off with rich, robust oily Ecuadorian Rosado Sun Grown wrapper. The addition of the highly sought after wrapper leaves creates a fuller bodied, more flavorful smoke with increased hints of natural sweetness and spice. These “limited availability” beauties are hard to come by, but are definitely worth the wait when you can get your hands on them.

Ernesto Perez-Carillo was the creator of La Gloria Cubana. During the cigar boom of the 90’s these were the hottest cigars. Like every good business man he knew when to sell and when General Cigar made him an offer he couldn’t refuse he sold out. Well now the non compete is over and the fact is you can’t take the passion or heart out of the cigar maker and he is back with a rare and exclusive cigar.
The size is called (fittingly) Encore – it measures 5 3/8 with a 52 ring. He told me it is a medium bodied smoke with rich, creamy flavors and an inviting aroma.
Ernesto is a great man. I had the pleasure of eating with him one night in the DR (I don’t know how pleasureable it was for me since I never shut up) and he is not only a terrific man but a true cigar master!

Fuente King T – When Fuente makes a tubo, they create an impressively ornate one. The tube isn’t the only visually pleasing characteristic of the King T. The Connecticut wrapper is shiny, smooth, and vein-free. And as with most Fuente cigars, this Churchill is impressively firm. In both looks and flavor, the King T reminds me of the Fuente Double Chateau-but with a bit more body and spice. Still, even with the spice, it’s well-balanced and mild- to medium-bodied.
Patel Bros. - The Rocky Patel Patel “Brothers Cigars” were released in 2009 by Rocky Patel and are a tribute to his brother, Nimesh Patel. This blend was a favorite of Nimesh and is a slight reblend of the 2009 Rocky Patel Winter Collection cigar and features a dark broadleaf wrapper from Lancaster Co, Pennsylvania. The winter collection cigar was a big hit with a lot of Rocky Patel smokers.

Kristoff Sumatra – The Kristoff Sumatra is the newest addition to the Kristoff brand. Exclusive Cigars released this blend at the 2009 IPCPR show in New Orleans. The Kristoff Sumatra has an Ecuadorian grown Sumatra seed wrapper, a Brazilian binder, and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. This blend is medium bodied and if you are a fan of the La Aurora 1495 this might be something you really enjoy. The Kristoff Sumatra line is available in the standard sizes that Kristoff releases: Churchill, Matador, Robusto, and Torpedo.
Camacho has a new cigar, Room 101 – Room101, the alternative luxury lifestyle brand for those who demand quality with an edge, is proud to announce their new line of Room101 Cigars. Originally founded in 2003 by Matt Booth, Room101 will introduce the premium cigar into their already successful line of silver jewelry, clothing, and accessories. The Room101 Cigar collection will be a blend of attitude, culture, celebrity, and some of the world’s finest tobaccos.
Room 101 was specially blended and created by Camacho Cigars, is a medium bodied cigar, comprised of tobaccos from both Honduras and the Dominican Republic. The wrapper is a Semilla 101 that was exclusively grown for this cigar.
Rocky Patel has a new cigar, 1961 – The Rocky Patel 1961 Cigars are a celebration of the birth date of Rocky Patel. These cigars were released to the public at the IPCPR show in New Orleans in 2009. The cigar is most accurately described as starting off with some pepper notes and moving to creamy and full-bodied flavors.
Habana Cuban Selection’s are in!! These cigars are made exclusively for us by Rocky Patel. They are made in the same factory as the Edge only they are lighter. Most people who try one, like it…have you tried one?
Heaven cigars is an interesting story. Not all cigar companies are success stories…in fact, a lot have serious ups and downs. Heather Phillips created Heaven flavored cigars and I say they have done well in the stores. Her newest challenge is to take on two very popular cigars, the Kuba Kuba and Blondie by ACID. In keeping with our strategy of trying to have every cigar possible we now have these too.
Tantra Cigars have developed the Tobacco Erotica Series of fine tobacco products to blend the spirituality and sensuality associated with the ancient erotic art of Tantra with the cigar smoking experience. I don’t know if she can knock off ACID but if you want to try them, we have them!
CAO’s newest release La Traviata is in. It is a full-bodied, full-flavored cigar that combines an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper with a Cameroon binder and incorporates two different ligero filler tobaccos from the Pueblo Nuevo farm in Nicaragua and the Dominican Republic. “The inspiration for La Traviata came from smoking numerous classic Cuban cigars,” said CAO President Tim Ozgener. “We wanted to create a cigar that appealed to sight, smell, and taste. The oily sheen of the Ecuadorian wrapper compels you to pick it up. The pre-light has a distinct pepper and leather nose. The flavor bombards the palate with intense, rich notes of cedar, anise, and leather, evolving along the way into a lush and creamy finish. We’ve also stayed true to the original La Traviata vista and artwork circa 1901-1904.” Sounds too good not to try.
Siglo is a new brand of cigars just released by Altadis. Prior to Altadis, the Siglo name has been used before as a type or line of cigars under different brand names made by other cigar companies (most notably the Cuban Cohiba). The new Siglo Limited Reserve by Altadis is made in Nicaragua with an Ecuadorian Cubano wrapper, a broadleaf Nicaraguan binder, and a blend of filler tobaccos from the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua. Now in are the Siglo Maduros!!
